Package: samba

Severity: minor

In the samba man-page for smb.conf, the some of the ldap settings are not correct.

It says, for example...

       ldap group suffix (G)
This parameters specifies the suffix that is used for
groups when these are added to the LDAP directory. If this
parameter is unset, the value of ldap suffix will be used
              instead.

However, it seems the case that this value is prepended to the default "ldap suffix" rather than replacing that value (as would seem to be indicated). The following works for me:

        ldap suffix = dc=precidia
        ldap user suffix = ou=People
        ldap group suffix = ou=Groups
        ldap idmap suffix = ou=Idmap
        ldap machine suffix = ou=Hosts

                                          Brian
                                 ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
