Package: gucharmap
Version: 1:1.4.3-2
Severity: serious
Justification: Replaces conffile from another package, wiping any customisation

The postinst contains this line:

  # Hopefully GTK+ upstream will do something about this sillyness
  gtk-query-immodules-2.0 > /etc/gtk-2.0/gtk.immodules

This is rather rude. Wiping out a conffile from another package is
not nice.

Why is gucharmap doing this? It's no different from any other GTK+
application WRT immodules, and certainly has no business doing this.

Regards,
Roger

Version: 2.10.1-1

        Hi,

This is a followup for Debian bugs <http://bugs.debian.org/330047> and
 <http://bugs.debian.org/329903>.

Gtk was modified to generate static lists of modules under /usr which
are consulted first in version 2.10.1-1 (still in experimental).

I'm closing these bugs with this version.

   Bye,
