Hi

after more thinking about this issue, I came to conclusion there is no
solution. Wammu itself doesn't care which python version it uses and
requires python-wx (and other python- packages), which should provide
corresponding modules for current python.

wxPython you had installed didn't do this and it is bug of this
package, which has been fixed in later uploads.

Wammu can not conflict with some older versions of wxPython, because it
would make it unusable with python 2.3. And there is no way to make
dependencies different if different version of python package is
installed.
