Whenever I try to set up the memo file conduit in gnome control center the

I am going through some old bug reports, and from the upstream bug
report [1] it seems this bug was fixed in the 2.0.11 release of
gnome-pilot and gnome-file-conduits.
I am closing these bug report, but if you still have problems with the
memo-file conduit feel free to open a new bug report.
