Package: sound-juicer
Version: 0.5.15-1
When sound-juicer is started, it appears not to recognize that there is
a CD in the drive. The UI appears, but no CD or track information is
shown, and the Extract button is grayed out. Pressing the Re-read button
has no effect. At no time do I hear the drive working at all.
If I look under Preferences, it appears to know about the drive
("TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-M1612") and if I choose the Eject option, it does
physically eject the disk.
The grip application is able to recognize CDs and rip normally. I am
also able to read data CDs and watch DVDs, so there doesn't appear to be
anything wrong with my drive.

I'm closing this bug as there have been no activity, or no response to
followup questions, and new releases of the package in question which
likely has fixed this bug or made it obsolete.
Feel free to reopen the report if you think the bug still is valid.
