Package: kvpnc
Version: 0.8.5.1-1
Severity: normal
I'm trying to use kvpnc to connect to my corporate network. We are using a
cisco gateway.
I have correctly configured the connection profile (passwords, gateway are
correct, etc).
We are not using a certificate, but only a preshared key.
When I try to initiate the connection to the VPN, vpnc client is started by
kvpnc with correct arguments.
However nothing happens and after a while kvpnc raises a connection timeout. If
I try to start
vpnc directly on a terminal with the same argument, it perfectly works. The
problem seems to be related with the way vpnc is
expecting user password to be entered on the terminal. kvpnc seems to be unable
to give it
the password. This may explain the timeout. I can strace kvpnc during the
connection initialization, if it can
help. Let me know.
