"apt-get remove sendfile" removes /var/spool/sendmail
but not /etc/logrotated.d/sendmail. /etc/cron.daily/logrotate
does not accept this:

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: error accessing /var/spool/sendfile: No such file or directory
error: sendfile:4 glob failed for /var/spool/sendfile/*/log
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1

Versions of packages sendfile depends on:
ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries
ii libncurses5 5.5-5 Shared libraries for terminal hand
ii libreadline5 5.2-2 GNU readline and history libraries
ii perl [perl5] 5.8.8-7 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction
ii update-inetd 4.27-0.3 inetd.conf updater

sendfile recommends no packages.

This report is bogus because:

> dpkg -c
> /srv/ftp.debian.org/ftp/pool/main/s/sendfile/sendfile_2.1b-3.1_i386.deb|grep
> spool
-rw-r--r-- root/root 2926 2007-02-28 17:01:37
./usr/share/doc/sendfile/german/LIESMICH.spool
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2007-02-28 17:01:37 ./var/spool/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2007-02-28 17:01:37 ./var/spool/sendfile/
drwxrwxrwt root/root 0 2007-02-28 17:01:37
./var/spool/sendfile/OUTGOING/

/var/spool/sendfile is included as directory in the package. If it
doesn't exist on your system, something's broken.

        Joey

PS: I'd happily switch over to savelog when this bug report is considered
severe enough. :)
