Hello,
If I select the keyboard layout to be in-guru from the kxkb applet in the
panel, the keyboard is missing some characters,
i.e. I cannot type them in a document. For example, the characters, hex
code: 0A71, is missing (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurmukhi_script for the character tables).
There are other some other characters too which I
have tried and are missing, and probably some others too which I haven't had
the oppertunity to try.
With these missing characters, it is not possible to type a document
properly in that language. I have had to resort to
copying and pasting the missing characters from some websites.

I just discovered that the character example I had given with appeared not
to be included in Unicode IN-GURU keyboard, it can be entered with a
combination of keys. For exampe:
I can enter(the following Unicode Gurmukhi) ਅ + ੰ + ਮ + ੍ + ਰ + ਿ + ਤ + ੁ to
get "ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ". The combination ਮ + ੍ + ਰ was the one I just discovered. So
it is possible to get these kind of combos in this keybaord layout after
all. Sorry for all the trouble.
