If $EDITOR is not found, and the user attempts to reply to a message,
the vital
sh: zzzzz: command not found
will not be seen by the user until he finally leaves mutt.
Therefore, if the administrator has apt-get removed one's $EDITOR, and
one tries to reply to a message, one will not get a clear idea of what
is wrong -- why can't one reply to messages. The error messages shown
by mutt to the user aren't clear enough,
