Package: ekiga
Version: 2.0.3-5
Severity: important

Ekiga does not come up with a GUI. The process seems to hang when I
start it. However, it makes a very strange connection to an FTP server:

$ LANG=C netstat -anpe --tcp --udp | grep ekiga
 tcp 0 0 192.168.1.101:48979 195.58.170.15:21 ESTABLISHED 1000
     22916 8443/ekiga

Wireshark shows that it tries to resolve www.wmi.at, where wmi.at is the
domain name of this machine, and 195.58.170.15 is www.wmi.at. The
connection only contains messages from the FTP Server:

220 ProFTPD 1.2.10 Server ....
421 Login Timeout ....

There isn't even a note on the command-line, explaining what it does,
even with debug set to 4. (which only shows detection of the multimedia
devices)

Note that it works on one of my other machines.

No, that won't be necessary. I will close the bug now as this has been
resolved and it looks like upstream is aware of the problem.
