Package: kopete
Version: 4:3.5.3-1
Severity: normal
Hi!
My kopete client receives messages from MSN after being disconnected,
even long time after (~6 hours) and after another connection from
another client.
This bug is not grave but higly annoying. A quick fix could be to simply
turn refuse message while being disconnected.
But, my experience today showed that my kopete at home received a
message after being disconncted for ~6 hours, and after another
connection from another client in another place.
The dangerous part here is that is not only that kopete keeps a socket
open after being disconnected from MSN, but also it keeps the connection
open: my home computer in NATed, so I don't see how the connection could
have been established more than 6 hours later if kopete did not
maintained it open.
If this is the case, then this could be a more important problem, since
it could then be considered a more threatening.
