Package: galeon
Version: 1.3.20-1
Severity: normal

Situation:

Just updated from woody to sarge, per methods in release notes.
Before upgrading, printing off NewsForge articles made Galeon
unstable: it tended to crash on attempting to close tabs (and on some
other actions), but only if the page printed off contained the
comments. I don't know *what* such a page contains, but it's poison
to Galeon.

I'd tentatively put this down to my use of fvwm rather than Gnome. In
order to configure the web proxy, I added gnome-core and dependents,
plus gconf-editor, and was busy rejoicing that Galeon now works
properly under fvwm (and in particular is much faster than Firefox on
my K6/2 system) when ---

The (mis)behaviour of Galeon is different now: after printing off a
Newsforge article with comments, attempts to print off any other page
tend to yield a "You cannot print while in print preview" warning box
instead. The breaking of printing persists until I crash and restart
kill the daemon launched with "galeon -s".

Please don't hesitate to contact me for further details. For
completeness, saying "dpkg -l gnome-core gconf-editor" yields:

ii gconf-editor 2.8.2-2 An editor for the GConf configuration system
ii gnome-core 64 The GNOME Desktop Environment -- essential c

Thanks in advance,

        MaJoC

I can't reproduce this behaviour with galeon from etch. I'll assume this
got fixed in the meanwhile, and close this bug. If, however, this still
occurs for you, please feel free to reopen.

Thanks

Mike
