In the attached PDF, there are a number of small dots (drawn with
the PDF equivalent of 'x y 0 0 360 arc stroke', with a thick line) that
evince does not draw at all. All of these dots are part of glyphs from
an embedded Type 3 font. [This document was partially generated by
LaTeX, then the rest of the content was added as hand-hacked PostScript,
and then the whole was converted to PDF by ps2pdf from gs-gpl 8.15-4.]
Visually, the easiest way to describe the problem is: All the faces are
supposed to have two eyes. This shows up in the line of five faces
in the middle of the instructions, and again in the line of eight cards
below the instructions.
gv renders correct visual output given the same input.
