Package: samba
Version: 3.0.7-1
I'm running a Debian "Testing" Samba-Server with the above mentioned
version. At one share some files cannot be seen on the clients (Windows
XP Prof.). I can see those files at Linux using the smb protcoll.
There is already a bug report at samba.org, maybe that helps you to:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1837
And I have found out something else. It's easier to describe it as an
example:
There are some folders:
/public ..... this folder is shared via samba
|
|---> wahl ..... some files cannot be read by Windows XP clients
|
|---> test .... just for testing purposes
when I copy files from wahl to test with ommiting the folders, they can
be seen at Windows. But when I copy the whole content of wahl via "cp
-r * /public/test" then some files can`t be seen. At first I thought
that it is a problem with right management. But I changed all rights
without any success.
But, I can see all files in Linux with smb://......
Maybe you can help me solving this problem
thanks Robert
