Package: samba-common
Version: 3.0.24-6
Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
When querying the PDC in an Active Directory environment, the net command
segfaults:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Entwicklung/smb4k_08$ net rpc share -S albert -l -U alex
Password:

Enumerating shared resources (exports) on remote server:

Share name Type Description
---------- ---- -----------
Speicherzugriffsfehler

Omitting the protocol - and thus letting the net command decide which protocol
to use - gives the same error.

Using the RAP protocol, everything works fine:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Entwicklung/smb4k_08$ net rap share -S albert -l -U alex
Password:

Enumerating shared resources (exports) on remote server:

Share name Type Description
---------- ---- -----------
IPC$ IPC Remote IPC
NETLOGON Disk Logon server share
ADMIN$ Disk Remote Admin
SYSVOL Disk Logon server share
C$ Disk Default share
Test-Share Disk Freigabe zum Testen mit Smb4K

Don't be sorry. You made a good bug report and you cared to
investigate the bug with details and tried to get as much information
as possible.

Such bug reports are exactly why our upstream will think that Debian
makes the best bug reports...:-)

Again, thank you very much. And I now close this bug with version
tagging.
