I have in /etc/pbuilderrc:
BUILDPLACE=/var/scratch/pbuilder/build/
BASEPATH="/var/scratch/pbuilder/base-etch.cow"
When I run:
pdebuild --pbuilder cowbuilder --debbuildopts ...
I'm seeing lots of:

`/var/cache/pbuilder/build/cow.25354/var/cache/apt/pkgcache.bin': Invalid

Failed cowcopy.
so it seems BUILDPLACE isn't used and the cowbuilder tries to link at
/var/cache/pbuilder/build instead.
