Package: rdesktop
Version: 1.2.0-2
Severity: normal

When using e.g. Excel and I want to type a colon I get a dot so I have
to delete the dot and then finally the I can type the colon. Same
problem for semicolon: I get a colon, hit backspace and the I get the
semicolon.

Rdesktop version 1.4.0 is now available in unstable.

I have not been able to reproduce the problem you describe and
presume it to have been fixed in upstream code long time ago.
