Package: raidtools2
Version: 0.90.20010914-15
Severity: normal

The first problem is that marking the first device as failed is ignored:
This is the output of /proc/mdstat after raidstart /dev/md2
md2 : active raid1 hdc2[0] hda2[1]
      47808 blocks [2/2] [UU]

------relevant part of /etc/raidtab
raiddev /dev/md2
    raid-level 1
    nr-raid-disks 2
    nr-spare-disks 0
    chunk-size 4
    persistent-superblock 1
    device /dev/hda2
    failed-disk 0
    device /dev/hdc2
    raid-disk 1
---------

The second problem is that if the raid-disk 0 is disconnected hard, the raid
array is not started up after reboot.

(error messages not readily available)
