Upgrading from Hotplug 0.0.20020114-7 to 0.0.20040329-22 (and rebooting)
[EMAIL PROTECTED] driver version 2.1.10 fails to find the device:
# pentavalt -a

**ERROR** device not found
Confirmed hotplug was the problem: after removing hotplug (and rebooting
again), device works correctly.

Probably some other driver which uses the device has been loaded.
This is not a bug, if that driver is not appropriate for your setup
then you need to blacklist it to stop hotplug loading it.

This kernel is old, buggy and insecure. Please upgrade (possibly to a
2.6 kernel).
