anymore. The OpenPGP box under "Account Properties" is grey, and psi does
not ask for my openpgp passphrase at start anymore.

I guess this was caused by https://bugs.g10code.com/gnupg/issue655,
which was fixed in gnupg 1.4.5. Closing the report.
