This is an important patch for Japanese User. Aterm does not support XIM.
Please see the web page:

and add --enable-xim for configure option to make katerm etc.
Please apply this patch because this is very important for
multi-byte user, and does not affect non-multi-byte aterm.

Hi,
since this bug report is 4 years old, the patch doesn't
apply in aterm 1.0 anymore and there are no no news in this
thread for 3 years I am closing this bug report.
