When I download and try to play
http://www.archive.org/download/Cory_Doctorow_Podcast_47/Cory_Doctorow_Podcast_47_Visit_the_Sins_01_64kb.mp3
it plays the first fraction of a second and then goes silent. The
slider continues at a slower than normal pace (i.e., it takes longer
than a second for the slider to move one second) but no sound is
produced. Since this occurs with both Totem and Rhythmbox, I think
it's a problem further down the stack. I am able to play other MP3s,
such as
http://www.archive.org/download/Cory_Doctorow_Podcast_48/Cory_Doctorow_Podcast_48_Visit_the_Sins_02.mp3
I'm unable to play most of the MP3s in the podcast
