package ist not installable, please fix the dependency

apt-get -t unstable install python-django-registration

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
python-django-registration: Depends: python-django (>= 0.96+svn5779)
but 0.96-1 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

Hi.

Soeren Sonnenburg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (15/09/2007):
> Package: python-django-registration
> Severity: serious

You may want to provide the version when reporting…

> The following packages have unmet dependencies:
> python-django-registration: Depends: python-django (>= 0.96+svn5779)
> but 0.96-1 is to be installed
> E: Broken packages

$ rmadison python-django-registration
python-django-registration |      0.2-1 |  experimental | source, all

$ rmadison -s unstable,experimental python-django
python-django |     0.96-1     |      unstable | source, all
python-django | 0.96+svn6020-1 |  experimental | source, all

$ dpkg --compare-versions 0.96+svn5779 lt 0.96+svn6020-1 && echo OK
OK

You're requesting a package from experimental, which pulls a package
from experimental in turn. What's the problem? Closing this bugreport.

Cheers,
