Package: cpio
Version: 2.4.2-39
Severity: normal

It appears that the woody version of cpio isn't (bug?) compatible with
redhat, different options are needed to extract files from the same
cpio archives. The options suppled are normally "-icvdumB" (the
vendor has been using this set of options for about a decade) and
debian needs "-ivdumB". While irritating with manual extraction, this
means that I need to modify the vendor-supplied scripts as well.

This is for the "personal edition" (free trial) of IBM's (formerly
informix/ardent/vmark) universe database, which they only claim works on
redhat 7.1. (It seems to be fine on redhat 7.0.)
