In the manual page for cvs, it says under cvs import:
"import [-options] repository vendortag releasetag..."
[...]
"The repository argument gives a directory name (or path to a directory)
under the CVS root directory for repositories; if the directory did not
exist, import creates it."
import, however, fails to create this directory if it does not exist and
spews back a bunch of errors about failing to import files because it
does not exist. After I created this directory manually and ran import,
it worked fine.
