Debian Release: testing/unstable

Kernel: Linux pc12 2.4.20-686 #1 Mon Jan 13 22:22:30 EST 2003 i686

Versions of packages abook depends on:
ii libc6 2.3.1-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an
ii libncurses5 5.3.20021109-2 Shared libraries for terminal hand
-- no debconf information
It is not possible to use abook (in a way that makes sense) if the
default addressbook $HOME/.abook.addressbook has been created. As long
as the user has not created a file with that name, he can't save his
data. There a IMHO two possibilities to resolve that:
1.) (presumably upstream) abook creates the default file if necessary
when the command 'w' is used
2.) at the first launch of abook by the user, the $HOME/.abookrc *and*
$HOME/.abook.addressbook will be created.
At least should be mentioned in the (debian-only) man page that the
default file has to be created first.

I don't see any chance to resolve this in woody. The problem is too
minor, and sarge is frozen and to be expected within the next weeks, the
problem doesn't exist there anymore.
Thus I don't see any need to keep this bugreport still open.
