I just start gnome-alsamixer
Btw - doin an upgrade - I lost My working alsa
no sond on any application
no at the tray volume controls I see an Analog Device ** (OSS Mixer)
I try tons of solutions (forums based) but no help at all. Alsa can not
start and no solution at horizon.

please could you rebuild the package with debug symbols so that the
backtrace actually contains useful data ;-)

It looks as if you're using Ubuntu. Can you reproduce the bug on a
Debian system?
