Package: kvm
Version: 52+dfsg-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
migration is broken in kvm 52:
<enter the monitor>
stop
migrate "exec:gzip -c > bla.gz"
The monitor then prints:
Could not start migration
and dmesg says:
BUG: kvm_dirty_pages_log_change: invalid parameters
Kernel is vanilla 2.6.23 with the moduels from the kvm-source package.
The above worked fine with the identical kernel and also the kvm-source
package version 0.48 and kvm version 0.48 (currently in lenny).
I checked on a intel mac mini (cpu flags: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce
cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss
ht tm pbe nx constant_tsc bts pni monitor vmx est tm2 xtpr) as well as a
amd64 machine.
(I gave the bug normal priority but maybe this version shouldn't enter
testing)
Cheers,
-- Guido
