First of all, thanks for maintaining swfdec!
swfdec-gnome does not seem to update the desktop database or register
the schemas file on install. This means that swfdec-player isn't
associated with flash files and the thumbnailer doesn't work by
default in GNOME.
As you are using cdbs, I'm guessing both of these problems can be
taken care of by including gnome.mk
