Package: gnome-session
Version: 2.14.3-5
Severity: normal
In my gnome-session-preferences I have unchecked "Automatically save changes
to session". But when my laptop shuts down automatically because it's low on
power,
gnome-session still saves my session. As a result I get the dreaded bug #284090
"Splash image doesn't shut itself down after loading the environment" which in
turn
leads to bug #305471 (not being able to logout).
The "fix" for me was to delete the default session found in
gnome-session-preferences.
But IMHO gnome-session should not have saved the session in the first place.

This is not a bug in gnome-session but in gnome-power-manager, and it is
fixed in 2.20, which now saves only if gnome-session is configured to
save the session.
