I have an mp3 file with ID3 tags in WIN1251 encoding (russian):
http://catchmedia.com/~arieh/id3_russian_win1251.mp3
Transcoding of the file yields ogg file with question marks in tags. I would
expect the ogg file at least to have the same strings as mp3 file. Slightly
better option is a way to specify encoding for the ogg file tags.
And the best option would be to convert the strings to UTF-8 on-the-fly.
Can mp32ogg script allow specification of encoding that ID3 tags in original
mp3 file are in, so as to convert them into UTF-8 properly?
