git-buildpackage, when used with the pristine-tar option fails to generate an
upstream
tarball using pristine-tar if no local pristine-tar branch is available.
pristine-tar however also checks remote branches. The easiest way would be to
just call
pristine-tar and exit if it fails, instead of depending on a local pristine-tar
branch.
