Alien is producing deb packages with fake dependency information for
libc6. The version number produced is that of the local libc6, instead
of the one the original package was built against. For instance, when
running alien in etch the following is produced:
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6)
A possible solution would be to use the version information from the
original package or to permit the user to enter it manually in case the
package lacked such information.

This is fixed by dpkg symbol versioning. Well, there are not versioned
symbols for libc6 yet, but that is not alien's bug.
