Package: syslog-ng
Version: 1.5.15-1.1
Severity: important

After I installed syslogn-ng I encountered following problem with
gathering logs. syslog-ng daemon after reload stopped getting logs from
klogd. I added klogd restart to syslog-ng init scripts but it does not
solve the problem. Precisely there are cases where the problem still
occurs. Clearly syslog-ng on my system was signalled apart from its init
script (I didn't signal it that way and don't know where he signal comes
from, but it is beside the point). Recently I noticed the same problem
with perl syslog related functions from: Sys::Syslog (used eg. by
pop-before-smtp) -- daemon stops gathering these logs after reload and
starts again after socket is reopened.
