Package: gpm
Version: 1.19.6-9
Followup-For: Bug #130275
I had similar results when upgrading to 1.19.6-9: upon upgrading, gpm is unable
to initialize
the mouse. From syslog:
Jan 30 20:34:24 desiderata /usr/sbin/gpm[17617]: PS/2 mouse failed init
Jan 30 20:34:24 desiderata /usr/sbin/gpm[17617]: oops() invoked from gpm.c(1019)
Jan 30 20:34:24 desiderata /usr/sbin/gpm[17617]: mouse initialization failed:
Resource temporarily unavailable
Further system information:
* I'm using a PS/2 compatible Logitech mouseman mouse, using configuration:
-m /dev/psaux -t ps2 -Rraw
This worked with previous versions, including the version 1.17.8-18.1 from
stable
(which I'm now running).
* I've tried fups2, which didn't help (but since everything worked before, I
don't
think my mouse is fu'd...)
* I have a synaptics touchpad as well, which does not work with 1.19.6-9
either.
(Normally it only works without the mouse plugged in to the PS/2 port on my
laptop).
