Package: gimp
Version: 2.2.6-1
Severity: normal
I try to save an image in ~/.whatever/, but the file
selection box does not show directories starting with a dot.
Worse, there is no way to explicitly type in the correct
path. Is there at least a workaround (not mv, please)?

You can:
a) not use the file selection box, but type the pathname manually in the
name box.
b) Press ctrl-L or right-click on the file selection box to type in a
hidden folder manually.
