Hi,
I'm not sure if the bug I'm seeing is the same problem as #307003 or not, though
the behaviour is somewhat different.
I am consistently (ie through several restarts of firefox and even rebooting the
computer) seeing the following:
1. When I try to "manage bookmarks" from the Bookmarks menu nothing
happens.
2. When I right-click on a bookmark and choose "properties" I get
the properties dialog. Clicking "OK" in the dialog sends my processsor to 100%
and mozilla becomes unresponsive. It remains so until a warning dialog shows
saying "A script on this page is causing mozilla to run slowly. If it continues
to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the
script?".
Clicking OK to abort the script and then "Cancel" on the
bookmark properties dialog seems to stop the problem, but the bookmark
has remained unedited.
I do seem to be able to right-click in the bookmarks menu and choose to
delete a bookmark.
Let me know if I can provide any further information.
Helen.

Hi,
Thanks for the info (that you couldn't reproduce this) and the suggestions.
> Standard question: Do you have any extensions installed? Can you try
> purging and reinstalling Firefox?
I have several extensions installed (tabbrowser-extensions,image zoom, diggler,
image-show-hide, adblock, Espaol language pack, foxyTunes, translate, user
Agent switcher). I tried purging and reinstalling firefox, but that didn't fix
the problem. Then I tried installing updates for all of the extensions that
firefox could find updates for, and that didn't help. Then I tried manually
updating Tabbrowser-Extensions and the User Agent Switcher, and that last seems
to have fixed the problem.
Personally I would guess the culprit to be the Tabbrowser-Extensions extension,
since while I find it very useful, it also seems to be a bit unstable as well.
Its odd though, because I hadn't changed any of the extensions at the time when
the bug appeared. But anyway, the problem with editing the bookmarks seems to
have gone now, which is great.
Closing the bug since I don't think it's a problem with firefox after all.
Thanks again for yout time.
Helen
