Package: roundup
Version: 1.3.3-3
Hi,
the runit package needs to move away from /var/service/ to comply with
the Debian policy (actually the FHS), see #461478. Your package depends
on runit, manipulates symbolic links in /var/service/, or checks
directories/files through this path, which was just fine until now.
Now that runit needs to move away from /var/service/, I ask you to
change the direct references to /var/service/ to using the new
update-service(8) program, included in the runit package since version
1.8.0-2, please see the manpage. Abstracting from the /var/service/
path makes it possible to move the directory for services to
/etc/service/ simply through a new upload of the runit package.
I'll try to come up with a patch within the next days or so, if you
don't beat me to it.
Thanks, Gerrit.
