I ran the configuration gui from the gdm menu after upgrading to 2.16.1-1. Gdm
asked for my root password, which I typed in. The configuration gui was briefly
displayed, but then gdm crashed and was restarted.
My gdm.conf includes the daemon, security, xdmcp, gui, greeter, chooser, debug
and servers sections, but all are empty except greeter which has this line:
SoundOnLoginFile=/usr/share/sounds/startup3.wav
I'm setting this to important because I think this does have a "major effect on
the usability" of this package, "without rendering it completely unusable to
everyone". IMHO.

I can't seem to reproduce it although gdm did lock up when I first
tried. Now it seems to work, though. Closing the bug and will open a new
one if the problems persist.
