Package: termcap-compat
Version: 1.2.3

Hi,
I have experienced the same problem as in report #62665.
The symlink hack described there works, but nothing has been done
about moving libtermcap to the -compat directory.
Is this still planned?

Just to be sure I've got this; is the suggested course for such cases:
if possible, rebuild affected software with -lncurses (instead of
-ltermcap) at the linking stage, rather than relying on termcap-compat?

Best wishes
Vince

The termcap-compat package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/323139 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
