Package: gdm
Version: 2.16.4-1
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***
When I use the 'Switch User' feature of GDM, the new X server starts,
displays the mouse cursor, and then quits, dropping me back to my
previous user. Poking around in log files has revealed that gdmgreeter
was segfaulting --- /var/log/messages contains the following line
several times:

Dec 22 17:12:31 eshcol kernel: gdmgreeter[12628]: segfault at
0000000000000000 rip 000000000040fba0 rsp 00007fffbc2336d0 error 4

After configuring GDB to use the plain w/ faces greeter, switch user
worked again. I was using the Industrial GDM theme. The greeter
started up just fine on the first display at boot, and after logout.

If someone could tell me a good way to get a core dump from gdmgreeter,
I would gladly provide a backtrace.

This bug may be connected with 365630 and/or 359196; I'm not sure. I
couldn't tell if they were the same problem as I'm having or not.

I see, as no one else have reported this I think it's safe to assume the
bug is gone and we can close this report.
