- Map headers have been replaced and designed for better maintainability.
- YOG has been completely redesigned.
- Licence changed to GPLv3.
- Scons has completely replaced the old configure and make tools for
compiling.
- Nicowar has been majorly improved.
- Several parts of the game have been optimized, to make it less CPU
intensive.
- A new keyboard shortcuts system has been implemented.
- Quick Kill keys have been added.
- The tutorial has been split into a 4 part campaign.
- All overlays now paint with OpenGL for much smoother results.
- A particle engine has been added allowing smoke effects.
- A new fertility overlay has been added, which shows where resource are
the most likely to grow.
- The ability to open saved games in the map editor has been revived.
- Restarting a network game using a saved game is also working again.
- Debug output has been removed, improving game's speed.
- Translations have been reviewed, and a script made to mark them as
incomplete.
- Brazilian and French translations have been updated.
- Many bugs (major and minor) have been fixed.

* debian/rules: Rewritten with scons in mind. While at it, make sure that
we're installing dataset in the right directory (closes: #460295).

- Upgraded Standards-Version to 3.7.3.0.
- Added a Replaces in glob2 to solve conflict with glob2.desktop, shipped
by error in glob2-data package in old versions.
* debian/patches:
- 02_gcc-4.3_fixes.patch: Merged.
- 03_freedesktop_compliance.patch: Removed, leftover.
- 04_CXXFLAGS_abuse.patch: Removed, leftover.
- 05_remove_vorbis_useless_dependency.patch: Depends on configure, so
dropped until seeing if it's needed.
* debian/glob2.6: Fixed some errors detected by lintian.
