Package: libguile-dev
Version: 1.4-24
On i386, /usr/lib/libguile.a contains object code that appears to have
been compiled with -fPIC. I think this is harmless, but contrary to
policy (section 11.2).
When I tried a build, while making alist.lo libtool hit some problem
("test: no: unexpected operator") and decided to symlink alist.lo onto
alist.o, resulting in that getting into libguile.a. I don't know what
this means, some sort of libtool bug or misconfiguration I guess.

The libguile-dev package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/338407 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
