Package: libguile-dev
Version: 1:1.4-26
Severity: normal

The package distributes
/usr/include/libguile/scmconfig.h
which is #included through
In file included from /usr/include/libguile/__scm.h:127,
                from /usr/include/libguile.h:50,
                from /usr/include/guile/gh.h:52,

which is generated from autoconf and clobbers config defines from the
using program.

scmconfig.h has to be split into part needed to compile guile and part
needed by applications using guile - but those #defines need to be
prefixed accordingly (like f.i. with GUILE_).

The libguile-dev package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/338407 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
