Package: exim
Version: 3.36-4
Severity: normal

Examining the message body a user sees:

# This message was created automatically by mail delivery software (Exim).
#
# A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
# recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
#
# monnier+gnu/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
# SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO:<monnier+gnu/[EMAIL
PROTECTED]>:
# host frodo.hserus.net [202.77.223.48]: 550 Administrative prohibition

It is not entirely clear just what machine produced the message.

Why not say "by mail delivery software (Exim) on [machine name]"

Otherwise some of us might think it is like
$ ed ffff
ffff: No such file or directory

I.e. rum doesn't like frodo, when in fact frodo doesn't like
monnier+gnu/emacs.

This could cause the user to blame the wrong party.

Yes From: Mail Delivery System <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> provides a hint,
as well as looking in the headers, but still, I want you to make the
body clearer.

The exim package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/420191 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
Barry deFreese
