Package: exim
Version: 3.12-10
Severity: normal

The message in the cron email is
"run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/exim exited because of uncaught signal 10"

This can lead to problems like the log files getting the wrong permissions
and hence exim stopping, or the log file never getting rotated and growing
without end.

If you enable stats (like me) the stats *always* work - the problem seems to
be within the log rotation part.

I have renamed /etc/cron.daily/exim to exim.rotate - this appears not to fail
(so far).

Hope this helps.

Anthony

The exim package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/420191 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
