Package: exim
Version: 3.12-10

I couldn't get the bug search to work
sorry if this is a dupe.

After grabbing some files from woody to
advance PostgreSQL to version 7.xx, my
popclient failed to get mail.

Exim seems unable to handle SMTP requests
from fetchmail when exim is run from inetd.

FIX: Running as a daemon works.

If this is deemed worthy of attention
I'll be very glad to assist in fixing this.
I realize with a potato/woody system I
may be a rare case. Basic connectivity
issues are very important so I still felt
obliged to report.

Whoops. Pine could not send this with the
below config.
[Error sending: Connection failed to rir,25: Connection refused]

The exim package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/420191 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
