The build environment is an update unstable chroot (using pbuilder).
Version 1.6-40 builds perfectly on the same machine.

Hi Nelson,
I suppose I can close this bug. Please, feel free to reopen it (you know what
to do ;)) if you still experience problems (but, well, john didn't build just
on armel...)
