Severity: normal
Hi,
When I do deluser it claims I am about to delete the root account and I
should press Ctrl-C but if I wait then it doesn't do it.
asdf:x:1001:1001:,,,:/home/asdf:/bin/bash
judith:~# deluser asdf
Use of uninitialized value in numeric eq (==) at /usr/sbin/deluser line
228.
WARNING: You are just about to delete the root account (uid 0)
Usually this is never required as it may render the whole system
unusable
Press immediately Ctrl+C if you want to abort
Ok, you really want it, I'll delete that account
Removing user `asdf' ...
Warning: group `asdf' has no more members.
Done.
judith:~# cat /etc/passwd
root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash
daemon:x:1:1:daemon:/usr/sbin:/bin/sh
bin:x:2:2:bin:/bin:/bin/sh
sys:x:3:3:sys:/dev:/bin/sh
sync:x:4:65534:sync:/bin:/bin/sync
This is also mentioned in bug 471552. Also, there really isn't much time
to press Ctrl-C here, 5 or 10 seconds might be better. Thanks!
