Package: apt-file
Version: 2.0.3-7
Severity: minor

I am trying to use apt-file, but I am failing, and the manpage is
not very helpful.

For instance,

  apt-file search -x bin/ls$

returns not a single match, and

  apt-file list postfix

includes lines like

  sendmail: usr/sbin/rmail
  sendmail: usr/share/man/man1/mailq.1.gz
  sendmail: usr/share/man/man8/rmail.8.gz

I understand that these are diversions or alternatives or whatever
not, but why do the sendmail/smail/zmailer lines have to appear in
the postfix list output???

Please clearify the use of apt-file in the manpage.
